(I) Harvesting

The maturity of jujube can be divided into two stages: When the fruit begins to color, the skin is smooth, the flesh is crispy and sweet and juicy, and it is brittle, which is the harvesting period of fresh and processed candied dates and jujube stems. After about half a month's pause, the color will further deepen, the water content will decrease, the sugar content will increase, the flesh will become soft, and the peel will be slightly wrinkled. According to the difference of the climate between south and north of Henan Province, the appropriate period for harvesting at the ripening stage is from mid-late September to early October.

The harvesting method is still using wooden poles to hit the lower part of the big branch and shake the date off. We should pay attention to protecting the foliage. Every year when playing a date, the position of the drop of each big branch should be fixed, and the masses call it “rod eyes” or “sticks” and do not change frequently. Too many poles will weaken the growth of the big branches, especially if they are paralyzed. Followed by the direction of the lower bar can not be extended in the direction of the branch, so as not to interrupt the lateral branches and Zaoguai. In the future, ripening agents can also be tried to reduce the use of dates. Or use a fruit shaker to shake off the dates to mechanize harvesting. For mature varieties of different varieties, they should master their ripening period and harvest in batches. At the same time, the different varieties that are harvested should be picked up by jujube and jujube, respectively, for drying.

(b) The sun

There are two ways to dry: First, the sun date on the foil, and the first on the ground sun dates.

1. On the foil sun date: Select a high dry, ventilated sunny venue, to be flat. Then every 80 centimeters or so to repair a north-south to earthworm, 20-30 centimeters high, the sorghum foil on the soil, in order to facilitate the ventilation and loose wet, shorten the sun date. The thickness of jujube is about 5 cm. In the morning, the jujube will be spread out, and the level of the jujube will be evenly matched with the color of the jujube. The jujube is spread directly on the sand. The thickness of the jujube should be thinner than that on the foil. Management is the same as above. Whether jujube on the foil or on the ground, dates and rain, jujube piles should not be directly searched by plastic film. Otherwise, it will affect the distribution of wetness, and the condensed water droplets will fall on the top of the jujube, increasing the humidity and easily causing mildew.
