Some time ago, due to problems with the nitrogen-reducing pressure reducing valve, the nitrogen supply pressure increased and the liquid nitrogen consumption increased greatly. The customer engineer replaced the old one with a new type of pressure reducing valve of the same type. After the operation, the nitrogen consumption was still high, and the supply pressure was also high and low.

At his request, Watt energy-saving engineers and customer Wang Gong conducted a detailed system analysis and found that the pressure relief valve control pressure is the key to the problem. The downstream pressure PF of the original pressure reducing valve fluctuates with the fluctuation of the upstream pressure PE, and the adjustment deviation is large.

There are two factors that cause the pressure fluctuation on the upstream of the upper pressure reducing valve: 1. The pressure PJ in the nitrogen storage tank is maintained at 6.5 to 7 Barg, but it will cause pressure fluctuation due to vaporization, heat dissipation or other reasons; 2. Vaporizer The vaporization process will also cause fluctuations in export pressure for some reason. Especially when the solenoid valve is opened frequently, the fluctuation will be greater. This fluctuation is inevitable due to system reasons.

If the pressure reducing valve cannot accurately control the pressure, when the upstream pressure increases, the downstream pressure also increases. When the pressure PH in the gas supply pipe rises, the nitrogen production of the nitrogen generator in the high pressure state decreases. Will lead to an increase in the use of liquid nitrogen.

In this case, Watt Energy recommends that Wang engineer replace the original imported pressure reducing valve with a Watt PRV2000 pressure reducing valve. The PRV2000 is a pilot diaphragm type pressure reducing valve. The induction tube of the pilot valve senses the fluctuation of the downstream pressure, controls the opening degree of the pilot valve according to the load condition, and then controls the opening degree of the main valve through the internal conduit to achieve the purpose of controlling the pressure. This type of decompression valve has high control accuracy, and it can accurately control the downstream pressure within +/- 0.1 Barg regardless of fluctuations in upstream pressure or load.

After a year of operation, the pressure control of the Watt PRV2000 pressure reducing valve is accurate, and the amount of liquid nitrogen is also reduced a lot. The careful Wang engineer calculated the account: After using the Watt PRV2000 pressure reducing valve, according to conservative estimates, the amount of nitrogen consumed per 1Kg of product produced is reduced by 2Kg, which saves about 150,000 yuan per year.
