Instructions

1. First adjust the range. If you want to adjust from large volume to small volume, follow the normal adjustment method, turn the knob counterclockwise; but if you want to adjust from small volume to large volume, you can first rotate the scale knob clockwise to The scale of the range is exceeded and then adjusted back to the set volume, which ensures the highest accuracy of the measurement. During this process, never push the button out of the range, otherwise it will get stuck in the internal mechanism and damage the pipette.

2, then put the tip of the head over the Epender pipette by inserting the pipetting gun vertically into the tip of the pipe and slightly tightening it to make it tightly coupled. If it is a multi-channel (such as 8- or 12-channel) pipette, you can align the first line of the pipette with the first head, then insert it obliquely, and shake it in the front-rear direction. The logo of the gun head is slightly over the O-ring and the connecting part can be seen to form a clear seal.

3. Finally, pipetting, pipetting should ensure that the pipette, tip and liquid are at the same temperature. When pipetting the liquid, the pipette is held upright and the tip is inserted 2-3 mm below the surface. Before aspirating, the liquid can be sucked a few times to wet the mouthpiece.

4. Clean the pipette tip and wipe it clean to prevent bacterial or acid-alkaline residual substances from causing corrosion and wear on the pipette for a long time.

Precautions

1. The pipette that sucks the liquid should not be laid flat. The liquid inside the pipe head can easily contaminate the inside of the gun and may cause the spring of the gun to rust.

2. The pipette should adjust the scale to the maximum after each experiment, and let the spring return to the prototype to extend the life of the pipette.

3. When sucking the liquid, the thumb must be released slowly and smoothly. It must not be suddenly released, so as to prevent the solution from being sucked up too quickly and rushing into the liquid extractor to corrode the plunger and cause air leakage.

4. In order to obtain higher precision, the sample solution needs to be sucked once before the sample is taken, and then the liquid is officially pipetted. Because the serum protein solution or organic solvent is sucked, a “liquid film” will remain on the inner wall of the tip, resulting in the amount of liquid discharged. It is too small and produces errors.

5. Liquids with large concentration and viscosity will produce errors. The amount of compensation to eliminate the error can be determined by experiment. The compensation amount can be set by changing the reading of the reading window with the adjustment knob.

6. The weight of the pure water taken by the analytical balance can be weighed and calculated to correct the liquid take-up. The weight of the 1 ml distilled water is 0.9982 g at 20 °C.

7. Ai Bende pipette is strictly prohibited to absorb liquids with strong volatility and strong corrosiveness (such as concentrated acid, concentrated alkali, organic matter, etc.).
