Improve meat production performance measures

It is a high-protein, low-fat, low-cholesterol high-quality meat product that is well known in livestock and poultry products and has been well received by consumers both at home and abroad. Scorpion culture has the advantages of easy breeding, short production cycle, low production cost, less disease, high feed remuneration, high selling price, and wide sales. The current production and breeding of fleas is the second generation of wild tadpoles that were successfully domesticated in the United States in the 1930s. In 1987, Guangdong introduced breeding directly from the United States. The use of quail meat for feeding, from brooding to bred and sold, generally only three and a half months, weight can reach 500 to 600 grams, the current market price of 15 yuan or more, while the cost of feeding is about 10 to 11 yuan. One farmer can manage 2000 to 3000, and can raise 3 to 4 batches in one year. The economic benefits are very significant. However, to maintain good health, we must make full use of modern poultry science and technology, and cooperate with good feeding management and high-quality compound feed in order to maximize the production potential of alfalfa. Through more than ten years of production practice in the economic animal farm of Guangzhou Agricultural College, the author summarized the following technical points for improving the production performance of meat quails for reference only.
I. Do a good job of brooding management
1. Brooding preparation: Before entering the young, we must first clean and disinfect the cage and cage, use 2% caustic soda or 100 poisonous spray, or fumigate with formalin and potassium permanganate. Brooding brooding is best to adopt the cage-raising or online raising method of raising the ground. If the ground is raised, a layer of slaked lime must be laid on the ground and then 8 to 10 cm thick bedding. In addition, it is necessary to ensure that the brooding temperature reaches 37°C within 2 hours before hatching.
2.Temperature and humidity management: Scorpion itself has a warm and dry, cold and wet habits, especially young calves and cubs. Squeeze occurs when the temperature is slightly cold, which can easily cause serious casualties. More and more difficult to cure. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt an off-land feeding method and use high-temperature brooding, which is one of the important key technologies different from other poultry breeds. Many years of production practice have proved that the following larvae can be used for the brooding rate as high as 98% using the following temperature management procedures: 1 to 2 days at 37°C, 3 to 7 days at 37 to 35°C, and then down 2.0 to 2.5°C per week, on the 35th. After age, it gradually decreases to the desired temperature and the temperature is adapted to the ambient temperature. When brooding, brooders are required to grasp the best temperature for brooding through careful management and observation: when the temperature is appropriate, the chicks are dispersed evenly, active and lively, with good appetite, moderate drinking water, and feathers are neat and close to the body. Some people give a little priming or whispering. The chicks have behaviors such as searching for food, drinking water, and running. The appropriate relative humidity should be maintained in the brooding room. At this time, the feathers of the chicks grow rapidly, the drinking water is normal, the individuals develop well, and the stools are dry and granular with the size of mung beans. The relative humidity of the brooding room is required to be low in the early high period: 60% to 70% at 1 week of age and 55% to 60% at 2 weeks of age.
Second, take a scientific feeding technology
1. Drinking water: After entering the chicks, you should generally drink within 2 hours. You can use 0.01% potassium permanganate solution to change to fresh water after 2 hours, or use 0.05% of the disease and 5% of the disease. The glucose is continuously consumed for 3 to 4 days. During the feeding process, adequate and clean drinking water should be provided continuously. The appropriate amount of poultry can be added to the water within 3 weeks of age; 3 to 7 weeks of age can be fed with potassium permanganate 2 to 3 times per week; after 7 weeks of age, For sale, oxytetracycline water can be fed twice a week.
2. Feeding: The quail is a omnivorous bird. It has a wide diet and fast growth. It has a relatively high demand for protein in the diet, especially the protein level in the 1-2 week old larvae feed should reach 28%-30. % can meet the needs of growth and development, so in the feeding should pay attention to protein feed, especially animal protein feed supply. After the chicks start drinking, they can start eating. During the whole brooding period, cooked eggs are used to mix the ingredients. Add 50 to 70 grams of cooked eggs per kilogram of the brooding material, mix evenly, and mix freshly and slowly. The cubs eat well and grow fast. Years of production practice have proven that feeding young eggs with cooked eggs is a very effective and simple method. Although on the surface the price of feeds for cooked eggs increased, due to the low daily feed intake of young pups, the cost of feeding each one is still very low (about 850 g per catfish per brooding period). About 50 grams of cooked eggs were ingested, and the added cost was about 0.35 yuan per person. The substantial effect that could be received was that the young cubs could grow up to standard, and the brooding survival rate was greatly increased (up to 98% or more). At the same time, due to increased protein levels in diets, quail rarely occurs due to nutritional deficiencies. Feeding of quail should be done with little feeding. Add 1 to 3 days of age to feed 10 to 12 times a day. Feeding should be done within 15 to 20 minutes; 4 to 7 days of age should be fed 8 times a day; 2 weeks Feed 6 times a day, 5 times a day at 3 weeks old, 4 times a day after 4 weeks of age, and use high energy feeds after 5 weeks of age. Usually use broiler chickens in combination with pellet feed instead . In addition, a green feed was added once a day to promote the increase in feed intake.
Third, reasonable density management The breeding density of quail is directly related to the breeding rate, growth and disease epidemic. The production should be based on the brooding equipment and environmental conditions and the size of the age: winter can be dense, summer should be more sparse; The younger ones can be denser, and the older ones are more sparse. According to the production practice, the rearing density of cage cages is 60 per square meter for 1 week, 50 to 40 for 2 to 4 weeks, 30 to 20 for 5 to 7 weeks, and no more than 15 per square meter after 5 to 7 weeks of age. . It has been proved that there is a certain relationship between stocking density and the growth of back feathers. When the density is controlled at no more than 15 per square meter after 7 weeks of age, the back feathers grow well and there is no back light; the density reaches 20 per square meter or In the above, although the body weight can reach the listing standard, the number of light backs increases. On the other hand, the same weight of fleas on the market, the back feathers grow more completely than the price of light back 要 2 to 3 yuan. The appropriate breeding density in the production and combined with good ventilation and ventilation conditions ensure that the fresh air inside the shacks is maintained, the incidence of sputum diseases is greatly reduced, the feather growth is complete, the survival rate is significantly increased, and the growth rate is significantly accelerated. Combined with scientific feeding, five-week-old pupae weigh up to 200 grams, up to 350 grams at 10 weeks of age, 420 grams at 12 weeks, and 500 grams at 14 weeks of age.
Fourth, effective prevention and control of ecdysis, such as feathers, anal fistula, fins, tinea and so on. Most of the farms use cutting scorpion as the main measure to prevent scorpions. Generally, scorpions can be carried out at the age of 6 to 9 days. If they continue to lick, they can wear a special plastic nose ring. However, severed stress and reaction to appetite are caused by severe birth defects and wearing a nose ring. This shows that birth vitality and productivity have decreased significantly. Through the practice of breeding for several years, the author concludes that the following points can be well overcome without breaking the knot: First of all, do a good job of careful breeding management (especially high temperature brooding should be taken to prevent the beating of the heap) Second, we must have a good supply of feed nutrients, in particular to provide adequate protein feed; Third, there must be a reasonable breeding density; Fourth, to minimize the various stress factors - including dirty air, inappropriate temperature and humidity , excessive light, irritating odors, noises and noise, excessive amounts of drugs, scratching and injections, foreign bodies that have not been seen, etc.; Fifth, always feed some green feed (you can turn vegetables upside down so that you can look up for food) .
V. Hygiene and Epidemic Prevention The strengthening of hygienic and epidemic prevention management in alfalfa breeding is another key measure for raising good eels. First of all, we must keep the environment clean and hygienic. Every day, we must remove the excrement from the room, sanitize the environment every 3 days, and sterilize it once every 4 to 5 days with 0.2% of the 100% of the poison. Second, we must take preventive measures against diseases such as catching colds, blight, coccidiosis, blackhead disease, salmonella infection, and Newcastle disease. Because individuals are small, they are more sensitive to drugs and vaccination. When using vaccines and drugs, they must pay attention to controlling the concentration and grasp the time for continuous administration. Can generally be used at the age of 1 to 4 days of drinking or drinking water 0.05% norfloxacin; 7 to 12 days of drinking water with 0.02% furazolidone; 14 to 20 days of anticoccidial drugs with spices. In addition, we must focus on immunizing Newcastle disease.
In the breeding of earthworms, if the above points can be made, the average body weight at the age of 14 weeks can reach about 500 grams, and the brooding rate can be as high as 98% and the breeding rate can exceed 90% throughout the breeding period. Can receive good economic benefits.
